ABOUT
Lauren Black is an East Texas based, self- taught artist specializing in monochromatic pop art, portraits and nature inspired acrylic paintings. Her high contrast, detail-oriented work is derived from a childhood raised on classic country albums, an appreciation of inspirational people and a life spent travelling and enjoying the outdoors.
"Both my mom and dad are incredible artists and always had some sort of project they were working on when I was a kid. My dad did a lot of wood crafting and home projects and mom worked with several different mediums including stained glass, pen and ink, photography and paints. I have truly been blessed to have been exposed to so many different types of creative outlets and having been given the encouragement to pursue them.”
